Assignment Report - Overview (Teacher)

TABLE OF CONTENTS



The assignment report provides an overview of all assignments in a course, showing submission status and assessment results for each student across all assignments in a single view. Note that you can not interact with the items in this report. 


1 Opening the assignment report

  1. Open the relevant course.
  2. Select Reports in the course navigation bar.
  3. Under Detailed reports, select Assignment report.


2 Reading the report

The report displays a matrix with students listed in rows and assignments listed in columns. Each cell shows the submission status and assessment result for that student–assignment combination.


2.1 Submission status

Each cell displays a status badge indicating the student's submission status for that assignment.

StatusDescription
Not submittedThe student has not submitted the assignment.
SubmittedThe student has submitted the assignment.
CompletedThe assignment is complete.
ResubmitThe student has been asked to resubmit the assignment.

Note: The report indicates whether a submission was made before or after the assignment deadline. [VERIFY: how this is displayed in the current UI]


2.2 Assessment results

Where an assignment has been assessed, the result is displayed below the submission status badge. Results are shown as a grade or pass/fail indicator. Where no assessment has been recorded, the cell displays Not assessed or Not taken.


3 Filtering and sorting

Use the controls at the top of the report to adjust the view.

ControlFunction
Filter by: GroupFilter the student list to show only members of a specific group.
Sort assignments bySort the assignment columns by a selected criterion, such as title.
