TABLE OF CONTENTS
The assignment report provides an overview of all assignments in a course, showing submission status and assessment results for each student across all assignments in a single view. Note that you can not interact with the items in this report.
1 Opening the assignment report
- Open the relevant course.
- Select Reports in the course navigation bar.
- Under Detailed reports, select Assignment report.

2 Reading the report
The report displays a matrix with students listed in rows and assignments listed in columns. Each cell shows the submission status and assessment result for that student–assignment combination.
2.1 Submission status
Each cell displays a status badge indicating the student's submission status for that assignment.
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Not submitted | The student has not submitted the assignment. |
| Submitted | The student has submitted the assignment. |
| Completed | The assignment is complete. |
| Resubmit | The student has been asked to resubmit the assignment. |
Note: The report indicates whether a submission was made before or after the assignment deadline. [VERIFY: how this is displayed in the current UI]
2.2 Assessment results
Where an assignment has been assessed, the result is displayed below the submission status badge. Results are shown as a grade or pass/fail indicator. Where no assessment has been recorded, the cell displays Not assessed or Not taken.
3 Filtering and sorting
Use the controls at the top of the report to adjust the view.
| Control | Function |
|---|---|
| Filter by: Group | Filter the student list to show only members of a specific group. |
| Sort assignments by | Sort the assignment columns by a selected criterion, such as title. |
