Can courses be set up so that self-registration is allowed?

Yes. Within the course settings there is an option for the course to be accessible in a course catalog. There are three options for registration:

1. Approval into the course by the course creator (he/she would receive an internal email notification)
2. A registration key must be entered for approval
3. Students may freely register themselves within the course without approval
